Since the 28th November 2022 support of php (secutity patches) for 7.4.x (7.4.23) ended. Active support has already stopped on the 21st November 2021.
Support (security) for php 7.3 ended already on the 6th December 2021, 7.2 on 30th November 2020, etc. - active support 1 year before.
What does that mean for you as webshop owner with OpenCart as base?
Your webshop is a potential security risk.
What can I do?
As soon as possible switch over to php 8.1.x (because for php 8.0.x active support ends on the 26th November 2022, secutity on the 26th November 2023).
With php 8.1.x support is guaranteed until 25th November 2023 (security until 25th November 2024).

Reason for that is, each webshop is build different and we want to make sure that after the work your webshop is runing as offered.
The steps:
- Scan of the whole webshop
- Adoption of base scripts (all scripts delivered with a standard installation)
- Extended tests after migration
Depending on the choosen amount of additional modules, they will be also adopted.
Note: templates (except the default) are not covered by this package. If you use a custom template, please ask before for an offer - because the template has to be also migrated an many cases.

With the default installation of OpenCart, the sales report purchased products is very limited.
This extension replace this standard report with several options, like::
- Filter after date (from - until)
- Filter after status
- Filter after product
- Sort A-Z or Z-A
- Amount of displayed elements
Further extended figures per product
- Price (current, mininum, maximum)
- Net Price
- Average Sales Price Net

Per default the OpenCart backend use the language the current user is logged in.
This extension ause the language the customer has used for the order.

Result if language selection is stored as cookie, values are user-ID and language code for 30 days.
Therefore the language will be recognized if this user comes again.

To install this language package, extract the zipped package locally and transfer the files (same structure as you can see) with FTP to your server (current shop installation).
After that, open your OpenCart backend and follow these steps:
1. navigate to System -> Localisation -> Languages
2. Click the Edit button
3. Fill in the following values:

Method 1 (shop is already not installed and to use German during the installation process)

To install this language package, extract the zipped package locally and transfer the files (same structure as you can see) with your FTP-Program to your server (current shop files but shop is not installed already).
During the installation process, select the language you want.
After the shop installation is done, you will see a message at step 4 (summary).
To use German in the shop, you have to click on the link displayed inside the message window!

To install this language package, navigate in the backend to Extensions > Installer, select this package and follow the onscreen instructions.
Note: if you want to update an existing translation, disable and delete first this extension (Menu Extensions > Modifications)

The language package installer can be used also as 'stand-alone' solution.
This is applicable only if your shop is already full installed and running.
Simply open your browser, and use:

(replace http with https if SSL is used, and YOURSHOPURL with your real URL)

Installation can be done in 2 ways:
(1) Shop is not installed (shopfiles are already on server)
Unzip package locale, transfer all files from the folder uploaud per FTP to your server.
Select the language you want on the first screen, the installation process can no be in German (or English).
After successfull installation, click the displayed link to finish the German translation.
(2) Shop is already installed and running
Chose in the backend menu Extensions > Installer and select this package. Proceed as displayed.
