Abmahnungen mit OpenCart

Labels: OpenCartLegalOCIE

  • Impressumspflicht
  • Widerruf
  • IP-Adresse
  • Telefonnummer

Shipping module MultiZone

Labels: OpenCartModuleShipping

Imagine you have a webshop und you deliver goods into several countries. But you have different shipping rates for each of these countries. Addionally you want to offer a free delivery if the subtotal of the basket is higher than the value of x.

In addition all these shipping costs should be calculated based on the weight, or the amount of items, or the subtotal.

Finally several postcodes are not qualified for these rates. Or a specific IP-address is not. Or this rate should be valid for a specific IP-address or postcode (or range of them) only.

And - maybe - you have a rate which is valid for all countries and should be added only if the subtotal is less than the value x.

But - what if these shipping costs shall be valid for a specific customer group only?

Well, this is only a scenario, but it could happen.

So what will you do - or better to ask: what can you do?

To simplify the answer: not very much.

Why?

Also simple this answer: because OpenCart has not the flexibility for all these possibilities. It has some standard modules, there are some extensions on the market - but with all the result will be confusing your customers!

Because at the end your customer will see several options he has to choose from - you may be lucky if he has chosen the correct one.

The come to an end - we have the solution: MultiZone.

osCommerce shops get hacked

If you are the proud owner of a webshop based on osCommerce you may be lucky - or not.

Why?

Well fast explained: currently over 5 Million webshops are hacked as of today. Massice daily growing figure.

What happpens?

Scriptkiddies and other indivudals so called 'Hacker' are using weak code of osCommerce version 2.2. To be more precise: 3 security holes are used to infect your webshop and and get control over it.

Read more here in this blog by Armorize.

What can be done?

Easiest answer could be: use another, much more modern webshop than osCommerce. If you like to switch or you are in the bad situation that your webshop is already infected, call drop us a note. We will show you what you can do - and what we can do for you.

OCIE 1.2.5

Labels: OCIE

OCIE 1.2.5 maintenance release published

To fix some nasty errors we published today our latest stable release: 1.2.5

This is ment primary to bridge over the time until the new release 1.3 which is expected soon. Is has no new features, but fix some bugs (e.g. at the registration process when a custom template is used).

As always we prepared one complete package with all files and one only for those customers using already OCIE 1.2.4 (contain only changed files and a patch file).

Both packages are availabe in our download section.

Shipping module MultiFlat

Labels: OpenCartModuleOCIEShipping

MultiFlat is a new shipping module for OCIE 1.2.x and OpenCart 1.4.x

It offers several options to define the best shipping method your customers can choose during their checkout.

Instead of defining several, different modules, MultFlat offers all these options - and more. And - beside - because of the additional, optional options, this module is fully qualified for promotions.

The problem with all existing shipping modules is, you can define either only one minimum amount, or only one rate, no percentage. Generally always only one option at the same time. At the checkout your customers may see several options they can choose for delivery.

MultiFlat keeps all these options at one place and will show finally the best fitting delivery method(s) - based on that settings you have defined in the backend.

Sofortbanking

Labels: OpenCartOCIEPayment

Sofortbanking CertifiedSofortbanking is a solution to offer customers of your webshop the possibility to pay their order in an easy, secure and safe way.

Because of the new framework of OpenCart (1.5) and the coming OCIE (1.3) we reworked our succesful extension to be compatible with these new releases.

Beside this, we 'tuned' our extension a bit (like code cleaning) to offer our customers an intuitive ans easy to use component.

Available - as always - with or without support in our download section.

Also possible is our installation service - while this extension is easy to install (just copying the files to your shopinstallation) - you may want to have it installed by our specialists.

Here a screenshot of the new frontend view (with clickable image and text to show the benefit in using this payment method):
