OpenCart webshop software released their new version (1.5.x).

And - which surprise (?!) - as always with every major release many functions were changed, some deleted. Not that they are important, no they are!

So, every third party developer (like us) has to rework their extesions to be compatible. And - as a very bad side effect - most of the template sellers do not offer updated versions on an already bought template.

No, customers have to buy another new template.

And as second surprise - not really to be honest - a lot of new bugs are 'introduced'. Summary of this is (was) the publishing within a few days of - at least 5 versions. As of today we hold at 1.5.0.5.

Now - do you think all these bugs are fixed?

Not really, but the main developer is going forward to work on the the next release 1.6 and is asking all OpenCart customers which new features they would like to see in.

Well, everybody can think now what he wants. But for me a stable release management is something other.
